Utah Opportunity Scholarship

Award Amount:
This award will offer $5,000 annually covering the cost of resident tuition, fees and book for four years; eight semesters at the University of Utah.
Application Submission Process:
To apply for this scholarship students must submit the following materials:
Students who have strong academic preparation should also consider applying for other scholarships by submitting an Application for General (freshman) Scholarships to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
- The standard application for admission to the University of Utah, including all supporting documents.
- An application for federal financial aid (FAFSA)
- The attached Utah Opportunity Scholarship Application, a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.
The deadline for receipt of UOS applications is February 3, 2012. You must submit your UOS application and apply to each of the three offices identified below by February 3 to ensure review and consideration by the UOS selection committee.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be:
A Entering Freshmen at the University of Utah
Demonstrate financial need
US Citizen or Resident
First Generation College Student
Ethnic Diverse Background
