The faculty hiring process at the University of Utah is supervised by different offices to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and recruit diverse pools of candidates. For academic departments and programs that are not part of the health sciences, the Office for Equity and Diversity provides oversight for faculty job posting and advertising, recruitment and position offers. The Office for Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action ensures that federal and state reporting requirements are met. The Office for Faculty provides oversight for the faculty appointment, hire, and tenure processes. For the School of Medicine and other health science academic departments and programs, oversight is provided by The Office of Faculty Administration in the School of Medicine.
