Sonia Parker SLCC Academic and Career Advising assists transfer students with information on getting admitted and started, transferring credits and directing students to resources available at the school, understanding policies and procedures, selecting courses, referring to faculty, and monitoring educational progress. |

Seini Pahulu Seini works with Pacific Islander students and helps in planning for their education as well as provides various options in terms of exploring career paths. She also teaches a humanities course. It is her role to ensure that students are prepared for their education by providing information about majors (prerequisites, major course, and general education requirements) as well as future occupations. |

Martin Palma Martin is an alumnus from SLCC and earned his B.A and M.P.A degrees from the University of Utah. He extensively works with the Hispanic/Latino students at the College. He helps students in the decision-making process of planning their educational goals and careers. Martin feels that his position allows him to give back to the community and that the intrinsic reward that he receives from his job is priceless. He is the Advisor for the SLCC Hispanic/Latino Student Club. He encourages students to get involved in student government and be proactive within their community on issues that may affect them on one way or another. |

Sadie Tsosie Sadie Tsosie is the Academic/Career Advisor for Native American students at Salt Lake Community College. Some of her responsibilities include academic advising and planning of coursework goals for students both on campus as well as in the community, enrollment services assisting students in applying for college, participation with multicultural initiatives to plan and develop multicultural outreach. She also coordinates and maintains cohesive membership within ethnic clubs and assists in a selection of various multicultural/diversity scholarships. |

Edward Tanner Edward Tanner is an academic advisor dedicated to serving the academic needs of Black students at Salt Lake Community College. He is responsible for recruitment of new students to SLCC through presentations and tours for Black students in the PK – 12 educational systems. He takes good care of his continuing SLCC students by using the EMPOWER Project, afro centric based interventions on the college campus designed to engage students into academic, social and cultural experiences during their first year of college. Ed is very creative on his marketing strategies directed at attracting Black students to SLCC. |

Ze Min Xiao Ze Min Xiao received a B.A. degree in Political Science and a certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah. Ze serves as a bridge to connect the richness of Asian students on campus with that of the general population; as well as assisting refugees and new immigrants to Salt Lake City. |

Debbie Corsino-Moore Debbie Corsino-Moore works to develop, organize, implement and oversee collegewide efforts for diverse programming, multi-ethnic recruitment, retention, and community outreach efforts; assist ethnic academic advisors with specific domestic ethnic student clubs and organizations; and participates in various community committees to ensure voice for under-represented groups. |

Carol Sandoval Carol has worked at Salt Lake Community College in Student Services for 31 years and currently serves as Director for Off-Site Student Services. She handles admissions, registration, recruiting, residency, and transfer of credit evaluations. |

The Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) at Salt Lake Community College offers college courses in the high schools to all qualifying high school students for a $35 admission application fee. No tuition is charged to Concurrent Enrollment students. CEP works with MESA and Gear Up to provide outreach to students.
