Biographical Information
Octavio Villalpando, Ph.D., has been at the University of Utah since 1999 and has held the position of Associate Vice President for Equity and Diversity since 2007. He is also an Associate Professor(tenure) of Educational Leadership and Policy. Dr. Villalpando has conducted research and written extensively on Critical Race Theory as it applies to educational leadership and the success of underrepresented students and faculty of color in higher education.
